Kaluga Region took part in the Fitch Ratings conference “Subjects and municipal districts of Russia: questions of financing, investment into the infrastructure”, that is past on April 16 in Moscow.

Minister of economic development Ruslan Zalivatskiy represented Kaluga Region on the measure. He made a report on the theme “Financing the infrastructure of the industrial parks of the Kaluga region. Results of the region investment policy.

Minister reported that the basic problem on the way of realization of the infrastructural projects is the need for serious financial investments in the creation of the expensive infrastructure during the short period of time. Vnesheconombank gave a financial support totaling 4,951 billions. roubles to realization of the project “Development of the infrastructure of the industrial parks: the formation of the cluster of the production of automobiles and auto-components”.


The total volume of the expenditures connected with creation auto-cluster on Kaluga Region territory will compose 10,4 billions. rubles. During the period of 2006-2019 the region plans to raise investment to basic capital with volume 96,7 billion. rubles and to create 13 735 work places.

Ruslan Zalivatskiy in his presentation noted that the significant inflow of investments is observed in the Kaluga region in recent years. During the period from 2005 to 2009 the volume of foreign investments grew 47 times and composed 1,1 billion. dollars.

According to the credit analysis of Kaluga dated December 14, 2009 Fitch Ratings confirmed the long-term ratings of Kaluga region in the foreign and national currency at the level “OF BB-” and short term rating in the foreign currency “B”.
