The key change over the year: the number of Russia’s billionaires nearly doubled: 62 vs. 32 of the previous year.

Vladimir Lisin takes No.1 spot on Forbes Golden Hundred list, with a $15.8 bn fortune.

Last year’s Golden Hundred leader, Mikhail Prokhorov, this year only ranks second ($13.4 bn).

And Mikhail Fridman, Alfa Group Chairman, is the third richest man in Russia with a fortune of $12.7 bn.

Among the high-profile Russians who are no longer on the billionaires’ list, Boris Berezovsky is the most famous one.

The list leader Vladimir Lisin’s fortune has seen the biggest increase over the year, gaining a total net worth of $10.6 bn.

Golden Hundred 2010 rank includes 23 new names - 12 of those are returnees and 11 are new members to the ranking.

Golden Hundred 2010 members average age is 48.5 y.o. The youngest businessman on the list is 35.

As before, there is the only lady on the list, Elena Baturina, president of Inteko. Her fortune, as estimated by Forbes, has swelled from $900 million to $2.9 bn over the year.

Moscow is the key residence for the richest Russians.
