The company Benteler AG - auto components from Kaluga
In Kaluga on June, 17, 2010, the investment agreement was signed between the Government of Kaluga region and the company Benteler AG, which will manufacture elements of the car suspension for Volkswagen Group Rus Kaluga plant.
CEO Mr. Khubertus Benteler signed the agreement on the part of Benteler AG. He reported that it will be 18 million Euro invested in the project. The first phase includes the preparation of production facilities and expansion module. At the second phase it is planned to start of auto-components production. 270 jobs will be created at the new enterprise. Mr. Benteler also said about the possible expansion of production in the future.

The Governor of Kaluga region Anatoly Artamonov said after signing the agreement: «We have common positions towards this project and the economy as a whole. We understand that the creation of new production due to the financial costs of the company Benteler and we will provide support in all matters». So the company will be provided of a stable energy supply and the necessary road network in a short time.

For his part, Mr. Hubertus Benteler expressed confidence in the success of the project:

«First, because there are Volkswagen, for which we will carry out production, already successfully running. And secondly, we are confident, that with such support of the Government of Kaluga region, everything will be as we have planned».

The executives of «Benteler Automotive», which was established in the territory of Kaluga region, have chosen for location of economic activity the areas on the industrial park, «A-Park» in Grabtsevo. Nowadays, the first stage of production facilities with the total area of 8640 sq. m. is already built. It is fully built to the needs of the investor. Currently engineering systems are in process of installation and equipment installation is on the final stage. Also a pilot production was started and the first details already were produced.
